Prarthana Group
What is the Prarthana Group?
In 1999 a discussion
amongst friends about religion and children led to a group of like-minded
families to get together once a month to pray and discuss religious issues. This
has since developed into the Prarthana group.
The primary aim of this group is to pass on the traditions of Hinduism and
Vedic heritage to our children. Interestingly enough the adults themselves have
gained a great deal from the Prarthana sessions.
The Prarthanas, shlokas and bhajans chosen from the countless available were
those that were universal and ones that are child-friendly.
We meet once a month usually on
the 3rd Saturday in
the Vedic Community Hall
Future Prarthana group sessions are
planned on:
Saturdays 7.30pm to 9.30pm
